What is Breakout Room?

Breakout rooms are additional rooms where you can host sub-group meetings, classes, or any other type of events for your attendees and work with them in separate, smaller groups.

Why Breakout Room is needed?

The Breakout Rooms function allows you to split your participants up into multiple smaller WizIQ Meet meetings. This is a useful function for facilitating discussion, as participants can be grouped into smaller groups that allow for more interaction and dialogue.

As the WizIQ Meet meeting moderator, you will not be sorted into one of the breakout rooms, and cannot hear what is being discussed in the Breakout Rooms. However, you can visit individual Breakout Rooms to check in on the discussions happening in a particular room.

Manage the rooms seamlessly

While in a breakout room, users cannot hear audio from the main meeting. If the moderator wishes to communicate to everyone at once, they can “Broadcast” a text-based message to all participants.

The moderator can choose to wait in the main session while participants work, or they can enter and leave the breakouts to provide guidance or listen to what is happening.
